Homeowners can complete an optional identity verification when creating their account or before posting a job. Once verified, their profile displays an Identity Verified badge — giving trades greater confidence that the person posting the job is genuine.

Identity check
Every tradesperson submits government-issued ID. We verify their name, address, and right to work in the UK through our Tradesconnect verification process.
Qualification verification
Trade-specific certifications are checked against official registers — Gas Safe, NICEIC, NAPIT, CSCS, and more. Expired or invalid certs are flagged immediately.
Insurance confirmation
Public liability insurance is mandatory. We confirm active coverage with a minimum of £1 million and flag any lapses in real time.
RepFit score review
We review the trade's review history, job completion rate, and dispute record. Only trades with a strong RepFit baseline earn the Verified badge.
Ongoing monitoring
Verification isn't a one-time event. Certifications and insurance are re-checked automatically at renewal. Badges are revoked instantly if anything lapses.

Create your free Tradesconnect account at tradesconnect.co.uk. Your profile is the foundation of your verified identity across both platforms.
Submit your documents
Upload your identity documents, public liability insurance certificate (minimum £1M cover), and any relevant trade qualifications or certifications.
Manual review
The Tradesconnect team manually reviews every application. This typically takes 1–3 business days. You'll be notified by email when your review is complete.
Earn your badge
Once approved, your Verified by Tradesconnect badge appears on your profile — visible to every homeowner who views your card on TradesFit.
Maintain your status
Keep your insurance and qualifications up to date. Tradesconnect monitors ongoing compliance so your badge always reflects your current standing.
